Can Tokenomics Make Sense?

Over the past year I have become completely obsessed with the world of crypto - the level of innovation and creativity in terms of technology and new business models has been nothing short of incredible.

However, as I got deeper and deeper down the the proverbial web3 rabbit hole I realized that the space is suffering from a dangerously high “Hype to Fundamentals” ratio. In particular, I believe that many protocols that achieved sky-high valuations over the past year may not actually have sustainable business models and are likely propped up by VC dollars and the broader animal spirits that took over the market.

In this blog I will be looking at some of the most interesting projects in the space with a particular focus on token incentives, value capture and business models. I plan to regularly share my ongoing analysis and thoughts as I continue to navigate this exciting ecosystem and invest in new projects and protocols.
